  • 2-1. Young Generation Forum (YGF) & Young Professional Forum (YPF)
    Purpose
    • -To provide a platform for S&T Exchange: Create opportunities for mutual exchange on the vision of science and technology
      between young scientists and engineers from Korea and abroad.
    • -To build collaborative networks among experts and promote S&T exchange: Establish networks for young scientists and engineers
      to develop leadership skills as global leaders in a knowledge-based society while laying the foundation for promoting the exchange of
      advanced science and technology.
    • -To foster ethnic solidarity through exchange: Provide opportunities for young overseas Korean scientists and engineers to explore
      current developments in S&T in their home country and strengthen ethnic solidarity by engaging with domestic experts.
    • Program Details
      • Duration : July 1 (Mon) – July 6 (Sat), 2024 (5 nights, 6 days)
      • : Various venues across Seoul
      • Organizer : Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST)
      • Participants : Undergraduate students (YGF), graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers(YPF) majoring in science and technology
        • -International Participants: Young overseas scientists and engineers (1.5-generation or later) with citizenship or permanent residency abroad, excluding international students
        • -Domestic Participants: Enrolled students at 4-year universities in Korea

        • -International Participants (Partial airfare and full accommodation for 5 nights and 6 days)

    Support for Net Activities of Next-Generation Science and Technology Leaders
    Purpose
    • -To support overseas science and technology talent in engaging in group (Net) activities including small-group research exchanges,
      entrepreneurial ventures, and other initiatives aimed at solving global social challenges through science and technology
    • -To provide a platform for young scientists and engineers to set ambitious goals and explore innovative ideas
    • -To encourage networking among young scientists and engineers through academic research activities
    • Intended Participants
      • Small groups (up to six members) of Korean graduate students or postdoctoral researchers majoring in science and engineering who reside in the same city abroad
    • Support Direction
      • Promoting small-group research meetings in the same or similar fields.
      • Enhancing the competencies and research capabilities of next-generation scientists and engineers.
      • Reinforcing the support system for the activities and information needs of emerging Korean scientists and engineers.
    • Support Details
      • Providing financial support for the activities of approximately 30 selected groups (Net).
